I’m Kismet Awadalla, the founder and lead organizer at Sorted by Kismet.
As an Egyptian expat navigating homes in Jeddah, KSA, and Dubai, I encountered the challenges of frequent moves and the accumulation of unnecessary belongings myself. This journey has transformed me into an expert in packing, unpacking, and crafting efficient systems for any space.
During the post-Covid lockdown when people spent most of their time in their homes, I decided to share my simple yet impactful home organizing ideas and tips with others. Thus, Sorted by Kismet was born – an initiative aimed at helping individuals achieve clutter-free and calm living spaces.
With a background in banking as a credit risk officer, I’ve transitioned my passion for organization into a thriving business. But, it’s more than just a business. I aim to make home organizing simple and fun for everyone through my workshops and masterclasses.
I’m a parent of three wonderful children – Alia, Nadia, and Hamza. My knack for order began in childhood, where I’d meticulously organize my toys (perhaps more than I played with them). Even then, I understood the value of a well-arranged space.
Living in KSA, my organizational prowess reached new heights. Collaborating with a like-minded friend, we’d turn mundane organizing sessions into enjoyable activities. Little did we know, these moments laid the foundation for Sorted by Kismet.
